Atletico Madrid’s in-form midfielder, Thomas Partey, would miss his side’s Champions League clash against Juventus in Turin on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian who has so far played in the entire European club campaign for the Madrid side would miss this crucial encounter due to accumulated yellow cards.
Atletico Madrid would be heading to Tuesday’s game with a two-goal advantage after beating Juventus 2-0 during the first leg game.
The Ghanaian was booked for a reckless challenge on Juventus Paulo Dybala just on the stroke of half time during the first leg making it his third bookings of the Champions League campaign.
This makes the 25-year-old Ghanaian ineligible to play for the Madrid side and Diego Simeone is expected to find a replacement for Partey during Tuesday’s game.
Partey had earlier been booked during their 1-3 loss to Real Madrid in the 80th minute on February 9 and against Sevilla on January 6 when they played 1-1 draw.
Skipper Diego Godin who scored in the first leg is also a major doubt for this encounter in Turin.
