Ghana U-17 to Qualify for FIFA World Cup in India

Ghana became the first African team to qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

This year India will host this remarkable tournament.

Yen News informs that Ghana cruised into the last four with the 5-0 victory over Gabon. The midfielder Emmanuel Toku and the captain Eric Ayiah scored.

Meanwhile, Guinea is the second in its group now. The team needs only a draw in the final group match to turn into the second of the four African nations to join the Ghana`s Black Starlets in India.

It should be admitted that Ghana has already become world champions twice. It happened in 1995 and 1999. The first edition of FIFA U-17 World Cup took place in China in 1985. Chile hosted the last tournament in 2016. Nigeria was the winner. By the way, Nigeria is the leader in winnings in this tournament. They already have five trophies.
