Ghana goalie Richard Ofori debuts for Orlando Pirates as they drew with Stellenbosch FC at home

Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori marked his Orlando Pirates debut on Wednesday when they drew with Stellenbosch FC in the DStv Premiership.

The Soweto giants saw their early lead cancelled in the first half as they shared the spoils with Stellenbosch with a 1-1 scoreline.

The Ghana number one was named between the sticks for the first time since he joined the Soweto giants.

Ofori was tested right on the stroke of halftime, but the new man came out on top in a one-on-one situation.

The 26-year-old shot stopper completed his move to Pirates last week on a three-year contract joining from Maritzburg United.

Ofori is expected to make the list for Ghana’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications double header against Sudan in November.
